This is a network map showing 53 Chicago police officers who worked under former Cmdr. Jon Burge or were co-accused in disciplinary records with his “Midnight Crew.”
The complaints underlying the data, reflect these officers’ individual career histories after 1988 at the Chicago Police Department and indicate their interconnectivity. This graphic representation does not, however, illustrate the specific torture cases for which some were later accused.
This coaccusal and complaints data, while incomplete, represents the officers’ careers over time, and interconnectivity between officers outside of Burge torture cases.
